The Creative Coalition held their annual Humanitarian Awards Benefit Luncheon Gala, during Emmy Awards weekend, on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Ladyhawk in West Hollywood, saluting a dedicated group of actors, producers and filmmakers, who leverage their platforms and influence to advocate for meaningful causes.

All proceeds raised benefit The Creative Coalition’s year-round work to protect and advance the arts. The nonpartisan social and public advocacy organization of the arts and entertainment community presented awards to the following honorees for their work with charitable and social welfare causes:

Dulé Hill (“Bel-Air”)
Jeffrey Ross (“The Roast of Tom Brady”)
Wendell Pierce (“Elsbeth”)
Teri Weinberg (“Ugly Betty,” “The Office”)
Steve Sawalich (Case for Kindness)

The event was generously supported by AARP. Wine was graciously provided by  Moraga Bel Air.

In a poignant moment during the program, honoree and comedian Jeff Ross shared his memories of caring for his late grandfather, whom Ross lived with as a young adult when he was starting his stand-up career, after both of his parents passed away during his late teens.

Award presenters included: John Stamos (“Unprisoned”) Seth Green (“Family Guy”), Rich Eisen (“NFL GameDay Highlights”), Diedrich Bader (“Lucky Hank”), Rob Morrow (“Curb Your Enthusiasm”), Emmanuelle Chriqui (“Superman & Lois”) and Saladin Patterson (“The Wonder Years”).

Guests in attendance included Sam Trammell (“Homeland,” “True Blood”), Jazmyn Simon (“Raising Dion”), Yvette Nicole Brown (“A Black Lady Sketch Show,” “Community”), Richard Schiff (“The Good Doctor,” “West Wing”), Katherine McNamara (“Walker: Independence”) and Jimmy Akingbola (“Bel-Air”), Variety Senior Editor and host of the “Just for Variety” podcast, Marc Malkin, hosted the event and The Creative Coalition’s CEO Robin Bronk presided over the gala.
