TODAY – Congress has a VOTE against funding the NEA

BACKGROUND 

The U.S. House of Representatives is currently considering the bill that funds the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH). During consideration of this bill, Members of Congress have the opportunity to offer amendments to alter proposed funding.

During this afternoon’s debate, Congressman Scott Perry (R-PA) offered two amendments.  One would eliminate funding for the NEA. The other would eliminate funding for the NEH. 

We are calling on all members of The Creative Coalition and supporters of the arts to make your voices heard today before the 5 PM EST vote. Post on social media for the House to reject these amendments to eliminate federal funding for the arts:
