The Crossroads of Politics and Pop Culture Meet at Hollywood in the Hamptons

Actors and Political Pundits Tackle the Presidential Race

East Hampton, NY (July 26, 2007) – The Creative Coalition is bringing together two unique and very opinionated groups; Hollywood actors, and Washington politicos for a lively discussion on the ever-growing impact of pop culture on the presidential race at the Hollywood in the Hamptons Brunch and Dialogue Event to be held on Sunday, July 29, 2007.

This event is hosted by actor Kerry Washington and moderated by Lawrence O’Donnell Jr. Panelists include The Nation’s Eric Alterman, Republican strategistEd Rollins, and Bloomberg News columnist Margaret Carlson.  The event will be held at the East Hampton home of Jaci and Morris L. Reid.

As the nonprofit, nonpartisan public advocacy arm of the arts and entertainment industry, The Creative Coalition works to mobilize and educate the arts community on issues of national importance with special focus on First Amendment rights, public education, media literacy and arts advocacy.

The event will bring together strategic political thought leaders to examine the increasing influence of fashion, art, music and film in what is considered to be the most important presidential race in years.
