“PROTECT THE HEROES” CAMPAIGN RECEIVES 2020 POWER OF A AWARD

The Creative Coalition, American Hospital Association, and Association for Healthcare Philanthropy Honored for Partnership Supporting Nation’s Hospitals and Frontline Healthcare Workers Fighting COVID-19

July 31, 2020 (New York) – “Protect the Heroes,” an integrated campaign developed by The Creative Coalition, the American Hospital Association, and the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, will receive a 2020 Power of A Award from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), it was announced today. The Power of A Awards recognize and celebrate the extraordinary contributions associations make to society by enriching lives, creating a competitive workforce, preparing society for the future, driving innovation, and making a better world.

“The Creative Coalition is thrilled and honored to be recognized by the American Society of Association Executives for contributing our best resources, the arts, to call attention to the critical need to protect frontline healthcare workers who are battling COVID-19,” said The Creative Coalition CEO Robin Bronk. “By seizing on the power of the arts and artists to bring much-needed attention to this critical issue, we hope that hospitals and healthcare workers receive the protection that all heroes deserve. We’re so grateful to be recognized for that effort.”

Launched in April 2020 by The Creative Coalition, the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, and the American Hospital Association, Protect the Heroes empowers people to make direct impact donations to their local hospitals to help fight COVID-19. Individuals can visit www.ProtectTheHeroes.org and, with a single click, be connected to the website of a local hospital of their choosing and contribute to hospital emergency relief funds. Each hospital determines where funds should be applied to make an important difference during this unprecedented time. To date, the campaign has raised more than $300,000 to support hospitals and frontline healthcare workers.
