The Creative Coalition to Bring Entertainment Industry Leaders to Presidential Nominating Conventions in Denver and Minneapolis

Teams with Target to host performances by some of the biggest names in music

WASHINGTON, DC (June 18, 2008) – The Creative Coalition announced today that it will host a series of events at both Presidential Nominating Conventions, including exclusive performances by some of the biggest headlining artists in music. Scheduled for the third night of each Convention, the benefit performances, presented by Target, promise to be the most sought after gala events of either week.

The Creative Coalition continues its tradition of supporting the election process by recognizing the hard work and dedication of both parties and will bring a delegation of entertainment industry leaders to both the Democratic National Convention and the Republican National Convention.

The Creative Coalition delegations – led by Co-Chairs Tim Daly, Kerry Washington, Tom Fontanaand Sue Kramer – will include Quentin Tarantino, Spike Lee, Susan Sarandon, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Neil Patrick Harris, Dana Delany, Barry Levinson, Matthew Modine, Alan Cumming, Cheryl Hines, Rachael Leigh Cook and Wendie Malick.

In addition to hosting the Wednesday night benefit gala at each convention, The Creative Coalition will host a series of special events and programs during each Convention week, as well as issue-oriented luncheons, receptions and dinners.

The Democratic National Convention is in Denver, CO, from Aug. 25 – 28. The Republican National Convention is in Minneapolis, MN, from Sept. 1 – 4.
