The Creative Coalition Takes Clarion Awards for Excellence


August 3, 2021 (NEW YORK, NY) – The Creative Coalition received two Clarion Awards for Excellence in Communications from The Association for Women in Communications, it was announced earlier this week. The esteemed awards recognize The Creative Coalition’s “Artists Using Their Voices: COVID-19 and Obesity PSA” in the Public Service Community Affairs Campaign categories.

“The arts drive important conversations that increase awareness, and change hearts and minds,” said The Creative Coalition President Tim Daly. “Thank you to The Association for Women in Communications for these prestigious awards recognizing our work using the arts to create positive change.”

“We’re honored to be recognized for our work to use the power of the arts to shed light on an issue that affects almost 50% of our citizens,” said The Creative Coalition CEO Robin Bronk. “We thank The Association for Women in Communications for this honor, and to the talent who lent their voices to this effort.”

For more than 40 years, The Association for Women in Communications Clarion Awards have recognized small business, large corporate, nonprofit, agency, and government communication specialists internationally who demonstrate excellence in clear and concise communications.

The Creative Coalition’s “Artists Using Their Voices: COVID-19 and Obesity” PSA features The Creative Coalition President and Emmy Award-nominated actor Tim Daly (“Madam Secretary”), and actors Yvette Nicole Brown (“Community”), Nicholas Gonzalez (“The Good Doctor”), Dean Norris (“Breaking Bad”), Tamara Tunie (“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”), and Emmy Award-winning comedian Judy Gold. The PSA was directed by Academy Award-nominee Stephen Kessler and executive produced by Lesa Lakin with gracious support from Novo Nordisk Inc.
