Toronto, ON (August 30, 2011)—The Creative Coalition is pleased to announce additions to their 2011 Spotlight Initiative Award line-up. The cast and creative team of
the feature film HYSTERIA starring Academy Award® nominee Maggie Gyllenhaal, Hugh Dancy, Jonathan Pryce, Rupert Everett and Felicity Jones will be honored with the organization’s prestigious Spotlight Initiative Award. Also rounding up this year’s honorees are actresses Michelle Monaghan and Juliette Lewis. HYSTERIA, Monaghan and Lewis join Ashley Greene, Anna Kendrick, David Paymer, Morgan
Spurlock, and Roland Emmerich as honorees.
In honoring HYSTERIA, the Creative Coalition spotlights a movie that is an outstanding example of the art and craft of independent filmmaking, and that highlights a story of social, economic and political shifts in human culture. The film was directed by Tanya Wexler, produced by Judy Cairo, Tracey Becker and Sarah Curtis, and written by Stephen Dyer and Jonah Lisa Dyer.

The Spotlight Initiative Awards Presentations will be held over the course of two dinner galas to be held during the Toronto International Film Festival. Ashley Greene (Butter, Twilight), Anna Kendrick (50/50, Up in the Air), David Paymer (Twixt, The American President), Morgan Spurlock (Comic Con: Episode IV – A Fan’s Hope, Super Size Me), Michelle Monaghan (Due Date, Source Code), Juliette Lewis (Hick, Cape Fear) and
Roland Emmerich (Anonymous, 2012) will receive their honors on Saturday evening, September 10th. HYSTERIA’s Maggie Gyllenhaal, Hugh Dancy,Tanya Wexler and producers will be honored at a special awards dinner and post-premiere party for the cast and filmmakers in support of HYSTERIA’s Toronto International Film Festival world premiere on Thursday evening, September 15th.
The Creative Coalition created the Spotlight Initiative in 2008 as an integrated partnership that champions the art and craft of independent filmmaking by providing alternative marketing and public relations resources that allows the film’s message to reach beyond the movie screen through its outreach to leaders in business, entertainment,
arts and policy.
