The Creative Coalition Partners with National Journal and The Atlantic for Convention Events Aimed at Young Voters

WASHINGTON, D.C., August 28, 2012 — The Atlantic and National Journal are teaming up with The Creative Coalition to involve artists and entertainers in two high-profile town hall events focused on issues affecting young voters in America.

The two events, called “Conversations with the Next Generation,” are being held in Tampa, Fl., and Charlotte, N.C., coinciding with the Republican and Democratic National Conventions. The events, also sponsored by Microsoft, will feature next generation leaders, policy experts, journalists, and others, wrestling with these issues in a dialogue with younger Americans and students. Members of The Creative Coalition, a non-profit organized by the creative community to learn about pressing issues so they can better inform the public and nation, will participate as featured guests.

Tomorrow’s town hall event in Tampa will feature actor and The Creative Coalition member Angus T. Jones. The speaker list for the Charlotte town hall will be announced in the coming days.
