The Creative Coalition Honored by the 25th Annual Webby Awards

TCC’s ‘This Ain’t Your Average Talk Show’ tapped as honoree in Video: Unscripted category

May 14, 2021 (NEW YORK, NY) – The Creative Coalition’s “This Ain’t Your Average Talk Show” has been honored for Best Video: Unscripted by the 25th Annual Webby Awards, it was announced today. Hailed as the “Internet’s highest honor” by The New York Times, The Webby Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), is the leading international awards organization honoring excellence on the Internet.

“Honorees like The Creative Coalition are setting the standard for innovation and creativity on the Internet,” said Claire Graves, Executive Director of The Webby Awards. “It is an incredible achievement to be selected among the best from the nearly 13,500 entries we received this year.”

The Creative Coalition’s “This Ain’t Your Average Talk Show” aired exclusively on People.com and People TV in October 2020. The special charity event was hosted by patients living with glioblastoma (GBM), a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer, who interviewed their favorite celebrities, including Tim Daly, Edie Falco, Jim Gaffigan, Rosie O’Donnell, Zachary Levi, Sarah Paulson, Bob Saget, Iliza Shlesinger, and Aisha Tyler — with a special music performance by GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter MAJOR. The event, made possible through the generous support of Novocure, was produced by actor and producer Erich Bergen and Aimie Billon.
