The Creative Coalition Brings Art and Soul Back to Hollywood

LOS ANGELES – (September 16, 2009) – The Creative Coalition and Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Brian Smith continue this week to capture the artistic souls of Hollywood during an Emmy photo shoot for The Creative Coalition’s book, Art and Soul.

Art and Soul will be released nationwide in 2010 as the cornerstone of a campaign for national attention on the need to ensure that arts in America thrive and flourish. All book proceeds will support The Creative Coalition’s arts advocacy programs.

Art and Soul features portraits of celebrities accompanied by handwritten personal testimonials which express the importance of the arts in our culture and the positive impact it has on our lives.

This week’s photo shoot in Los Angeles adds additional talent who also will be featured in Art and Soul, including Amy Brenneman, Hip Hop artist Kid Cudi, Emmy-nominated actors Andy Serkis and Christian Clemensen, Corey Reynolds, and Andrea Bowen.

Others featured in the book include: Anne Hathaway, Tony Bennett, Harry Belafonte, Kerry Washington, Taye Diggs, Tim Daly, Alfre Woodard, Kerry Washington, Dana Delany, Zooey Deschanel, Alyssa Milano, Ellen Burstyn, David Hyde Pierce, Matthew Modine, Joe Mantegna, and Cheryl Hines.
