TCC’s COVID-19 vaccine and obesity PSAs celebrated
by premier video & TV awards program
June 6, 2022 (NEW YORK, NY) – The Creative Coalition won several categories at the 43rd Annual Telly Awards, taking home nine honors for its social impact campaigns, including the “Be There. This Is Your Shot” and “If You Had Told Me” PSAs.
The Telly Awards honors excellence in video and television across all screens and is judged by leaders from video platforms, television, streaming networks, and production companies including Adobe, Netflix, Dow Jones, Duplass Brothers Productions, Complex Networks, Jennifer Garner, A&E Networks, Hearst Media, Nickelodeon, ESPN Films, RYOT, Partizan, and Vimeo.
“Now, more than ever, it is necessary to celebrate video work that reflects the top tier of our industry, such as The Creative Coalition’s social impact campaigns,” said Telly Awards Executive Director Sabrina Dridje. “This year’s submissions reflect an industry that has returned to the important work of storytelling, one that has returned with a new perspective that values innovation, agility, equity, and tenacious creativity.”

Last year, The Telly Awards attracted more than 12,000 entries from top video content producers including Netflix, Jennifer Garner, HBO Latin America, Microsoft, RadicalMedia, Condé Nast, Adobe, Nickelodeon, and Partizan. The Creative Coalition’s “Be There. This Is Your Shot” PSAs were developed by iconic advertising legend Allen Kay (“If you see something, say something”), edited by Jeff Fisher, with music by Brian Wayy, courtesy of Teletunez Music. The PSAs were written by Emmy-nominated writer/producer Bill Prady (“The Big Bang Theory”) with support from Revelations Media.
The Creative Coalition’s “If You Had Told Me” PSA features BokHee An (“Grey’s Anatomy”), Nicholas Gonzalez (“The Good Doctor”), Boris Kodjoe (“Station 19”), S. Epatha Merkerson (“Chicago Med”), and Steven Weber (“Chicago Med”). The spot was written by Jacqueline Donabedian (Director of Medical Research, “Grey’s Anatomy”), Kiley Donovan (Executive Producer, “Station 19”), and Jamie Denbo (Writer/Co-Executive Producer, “Grey’s Anatomy”), and directed by Academy Award-nominated Director Stephen Kessler (“Paul Williams Still Alive,” “Vegas Vacation”).
