The Creative Coalition CEO Robin Bronk Participates in White House Arts Summit to Promote the Transformative Power of the Arts

Washington, D.C. (January 30, 2024): Robin Bronk, CEO of The Creative Coalition, was honored to be invited to participate in the first-ever Summit on Arts and Culture in our Communities, hosted by the White House Domestic Policy Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. This prestigious event brought together a remarkable group of artists and policy experts to explore the vital role of the arts in enhancing the well-being of our nation, fostering vibrant communities, and ensuring equal access to artistic opportunities for all.

As a steadfast advocate for the arts, The Creative Coalition recognizes the immense impact that the arts can have in promoting cultural understanding, revitalizing communities, and addressing pressing societal challenges. During the summit, Bronk had the opportunity to showcase the groundbreaking initiatives undertaken by The Creative Coalition, which have successfully tackled issues such as obesity stigma, veteran suicide, mentorship for disadvantaged youth, and support for family caregivers.

“It was truly inspiring to join esteemed leaders from across the nation, including Second Gentleman of the United States, Doug Emhoff, at the Summit on Arts and Culture in our Communities,” said Robin Bronk. “At The Creative Coalition, we firmly believe that the arts are not merely extracurricular, but an essential component of fostering creativity, freedom, and imagination for a healthier society. We are eager to collaborate with the National Endowment for the Arts and other influential figures to amplify the transformative power of the arts.”

The Creative Coalition remains committed to advocating for robust and sustained public funding for the arts, ensuring that every individual, regardless of their circumstances or educational institution, has the opportunity to unleash their creative potential. In line with this mission, The Creative Coalition will organize the 2024 #RightToBearArts Capitol Hill Day later this year, urging Congress to recognize and support the invaluable contributions of the arts to our society, and firmly opposing any efforts to reduce NEA funding.
