National Arts Summit to Develop Actionable Strategies for Driving Economic Growth and Leveraging the Power of the Arts
Fortune 500 Leaders, Policy Makers, Artists, and Entertainment Industry Notables to Gather at Summerlin in Las Vegas, February 12-13, 2025
Los Angeles, September 24, 2024 – The Creative Coalition is proud to announce the first National Arts Summit, a high-level gathering of notables dedicated to fostering economic impact and amplifying the transformative power of the arts. This invitation-only event, scheduled for February 12-13, 2025, will bring together Fortune 500 leaders, policymakers, artists and other entertainment industry luminaries at Summerlin in Las Vegas for two days of high-level discussions aimed at creating actionable strategies that underscore the arts’ vital role in the United States.
The National Arts Summit is designed to generate real-world solutions and will produce a roadmap for advancing the arts. “The National Arts Summit represents another bold step in positioning the arts as a cornerstone for both cultural and economic progress,” said President of The Creative Coalition Tim Daly. “We look forward to bringing leaders together in Summerlin to explore and expand the vital role of the arts and innovation in fostering vibrant community building.”
For over three decades, The Creative Coalition has been a leading champion for the arts, spearheading initiatives like the #RightToBearArts campaign, which underscores the capacity of the arts to drive meaningful societal change.
“The National Arts Summit is a groundbreaking initiative that reflects our belief in the arts as a core driver of economic development and social innovation,” said Robin Bronk, CEO of The Creative Coalition. “This Summit will unite leaders from diverse sectors to explore how the arts enrich communities, inspire innovation, and contribute to the vibrancy of our economy.”
A thriving arts sector is vital to a strong economy. The arts contribute $763.6 billion to the U.S. economy — more than agriculture, transportation, or warehousing — employing 4.9 million workers across the country with earnings of more than $370 billion. The arts export $20 billion more than they import, providing a positive trade balance for the United States.
“Speaking as a Nevadan, I am proud to welcome these leaders in their respective fields to Summerlin,” said Elaine Wynn, Co-Founder, Wynn Resorts and Founder, Las Vegas Museum of Art. “Countless examples prove to us the power of arts not only to transform lives, but also economies and entire communities. This summit brings together the greatest minds to address how we can make culture a part of everyday life and an essential ingredient for good business.”
Summit Chairs and participants will be announced in the coming weeks.
