“We are honored to be a Spotlight Initiative Honoree. Equity shatters the norms of the ‘usual’ story with the ‘usual’ suspects, and we think that embodies the tenets of this Award – we made a movie that makes a difference,” said Equity actress Alysia Reiner. Equity’s Sarah Megan Thomas added, “It makes us proud to receive a Spotlight Initiative Award as, early on, The Creative Coalition was incredibly supportive of – and excited about – the making of Equity.”
Established in 2007, The Creative Coalition Spotlight Initiative Awards Gala brings together the most significant in the entertainment industry to celebrate the art and craft of independent film. “Indie Film is the jewel in the crown of creative filmmaking. The Creative Coalition’s Spotlight Initiative Award was created to beam a light on this artistry and those who create it,” said CEO of The Creative Coalition Robin Bronk.
The event will be a private gala awards dinner hosted at the Kia Supper Suite by The Church Key, a pop-up takeover of Cisero’s Ristorante on Main Street. Kia Sorento, Maestro Dobel® Tequila, and Johndrow Vineyards will be supporting sponsors of the annual gala event with the menu and kitchen helmed by Chef Steven Fretz of L.A.’s popular restaurant, The Church Key.
