Paul Giamatti Tells Barney’s Version at Creative Coalition’s Spotlight Initiative Screening Series

New York, New York (January 4, 2011): Golden Globe nominee Paul Giamatti sits down with CEO of The Creative Coalition Robin Bronk for a special preview Spotlight Initiative screening of Barney’s Version followed by a Q & A. The event hosted by The Learning Annex takes place on January 10th at 6:30 pm in New York City (AMC Kips Bay Theatre, 570 2nd Avenue).

Based of Mordecai Richler’s prize-winning comic novel, Barney’s Version is the warm, wise, and witty story of Barney Panofsky, (Paul Giamatti), a seemingly ordinary man who lives an extraordinary life. A candid confessional, the film spans four decades and two continents, of Barney’s colorful life. The reason that Barney must tell his story now — or, at least his version of it — is that his sworn enemy has just published a tell-all book that dredges up the more compromising chapters of Barney’s past.

Barney’s Version features Paul Giamatti, Rosamund Pike, Minnie Driver, Rachelle Lefevre, Scott Speedman, and Dustin Hoffman, and is directed by Richard J. Lewis and produced by Robert Lantos.

Barney’s Version opens in New York (Lincoln Plaza, Union Square) and Los Angeles (Landmark, Arclight Hollywood) on January 14th.
