NEW YORK, NY (January 22, 2006) – Matt Dillon will be honored with the 2006Ray-Ban Visionary Award, which will be presented on Sunday, January 22, 2006in Park City, Utah, at the Stein Eriksen Lodge from 7-10 p.m.  The evening will be presented by The Creative Coalition and Hollywood Life and will conclude with a special musical performance by hot young breakout artist singer/songwriterAnna Nalick.  Matt Dillon will receive the award from actress Lili Taylor, with whom he worked on “Factotum,” which is being featured at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival.  The host committee for the evening includes The Creative Coalition Co-Presidents Joe Pantoliano and Tony Goldwyn, Dennis Hopper, Lauren Holly, Lili Taylor, Marisa Tomei, Timothy Hutton, Gus Van Sant, Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick.

The Ray-Ban Visionary Award honors the work and dedication of an individual who possesses extraordinary passion, creativity and leadership, and whose work showcases vision, imagination and originality. Previous award winners include Kevin Bacon, Colin Callender, President of HBO Films andMark Ordesky, EVP/COO New Line Productions and President of Fine Line Features.

Matt Dillon’s successful film career has spanned over two decades and has showcased his wide range of dramatic and comedic talents.  From his breakthrough performance in “The Outsiders,” to his IFP Spirit Award winning performance in “Drugstore Cowboy, to his hilarious turn as an obsessed private investigator in “There’s Something About Mary,” he has proven himself to be one of the most diverse actors of his generation.  His talent for balancing starring roles with powerful supporting characters has allowed him to build a varied and critically acclaimed body of work.

Dillon most recently displayed his versatility with an arresting performance co-starring as a racist cop in the critically acclaimed film “Crash,” for which he received a Golden Globe nomination in the “Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture.”  He is currently starring in “Factotum,” starring Lili Taylor, Fischer Stevens and Marisa Tomei, which will be featured at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival, and will next be seen starring opposite Kate Hudson, Owen Wilson, and Michael Douglas in the upcoming Universal Pictures comedy “You, Me and Dupree.”
