The Creative Coalition to Host Special Screening and Q&A: Bobi Wine and Director Moses Bwayo Speak Out
Los Angeles, CA (February 23, 2024): Today, The Creative Coalition announces a 2024 Spotlight Initiative selection, National Geographic Documentary Films’ critically acclaimed, Bobi Wine: The People’s President.
The Oscar-nominated documentary, which premiered at the Venice International Film Festival and is now streaming on Hulu and Disney+, tells the story of superstar musician Bobi Wine and how he risked his life to fight the ruthless regime led by Yoweri Museveni.
“The film is truly important. It is a rallying and inspirational cry for every citizen worldwide to understand the power of activism and what is possible,” said CEO of The Creative Coalition Robin Bronk. “The Creative Coalition is very proud to name Bobi Wine: The People’s President to the 2024 Spotlight Initiative slate.”
Bobi Wine: The People’s President is directed by Moses Bwayo and Christopher Sharp, and produced by Sharp and John Battsek.
