Alyssa Milano: This Is Your Shot

ALYSSA MILANO STARS IN DEEPLY PERSONAL COVID-19 VACCINE PSA FROM
THE CREATIVE COALITION: BE THERE. THIS IS YOUR SHOT

“I got COVID. So many others died, and yet I’m lucky. I’m still here.”

May 25, 2021 (NEW YORK, NY) – Alyssa Milano is urging Americans to get vaccinated against COVID-19 in a deeply personal new PSA from The Creative Coalition and The Creative Coalition’s National Blue Ribbon Task Force to Stem COVID-19 Vaccine Hesitancy. People.com exclusively broke the news.

“I’m not sure when I’ll feel like myself again, and that’s hard for me to admit,” Milano says in the moving new spot. “I got COVID. So many others died, and yet I’m lucky. I’m still here. But so are my long-haul symptoms. Even the best doctors and scientists don’t know what to expect moving forward. But what they do know is that we now have a vaccine against this devastating virus. It is safe and effective. It can keep you from getting critically ill. I wish this vaccine had been around before so many of us had gotten sick. But it is here now. For you. This shot means that you can be there again with family, friends, and neighbors. Be there. This is your shot.”

Previously, The Creative Coalition premiered PSAs featuring actor Wilson Cruz (“Star Trek: Discovery”), Emmy Award-winning journalist Ann Curry (“Today Show,” “NBC News”), Academy Award-winning actor Morgan Freeman, SAG Award-winning actor Jon Huertas (“This Is Us”), Emmy Award-winning actor John Leguizamo (“The Mandalorian”), journalist Deborah Norville (“Inside Edition”), SAG Award-winning actor James Pickens Jr. (“Grey’s Anatomy”), Emmy Award-nominated actor CCH Pounder (“NCIS: New Orleans”), Academy Award-nominated actor Gabourey Sidibe (“Empire”), and Emmy Award-nominated and SAG Award-winning actor Chandra Wilson (“Grey’s Anatomy”).

The “Be There. This Is Your Shot” PSAs were developed by iconic advertising legend Allen Kay (“If you see something, say something”). The PSAs were written by Chris Bessounian (“The Resident”), Zoanne Clack (“Grey’s Anatomy”), Jacque Cofer (“The Unicorn”), Chad Gomez Creasey (“NCIS: New Orleans”), Mark Goffman (“Umbrella Academy”), Lindsay Goffman (“The Good Doctor”), Daniela Lamas (“The Resident”), and Tianna Langham (“The Resident”). Select versions of the PSAs will be available in English and Spanish.

It was previously announced that the PSAs will be shown in movie theaters across the country through a partnership with National CineMedia (NCM), the largest cinema advertising network in the U.S.
