The membership declares themselves “pro-choice” by unanimous vote at Sardi’s membership meeting. Members meet at Sardi’s and vote to support homelessness as a TCC issue, and to participate in October 7th, “Housing Now!” march in Washington, D.C. Speakers at meeting: Mitch Synder, organizer of “Housing Now!” and Andrew Cuomo, organizer of Project H.E.L.P. Michael O’Keefe, Board member of Greyston Inn, which employs, counsels and houses homeless in Yonkers, and Juan Batista of the Federal Interagency on Homeless, who explained Bush Administration policies on homelessness. TCC Homelessness Committee established by vote of membership. Project H.E.L.P and Greyston Inn are adopted as committee projects.
