HONORS INSPIRATIONAL TEACHERS
PARK CITY, UTAH (January 18, 2008) -
The Creative Coalition hosts this year's Teacher's
Making a Difference Spotlight Awards at the Park City
Film Festival where educators who were most influential
in the lives of talented members of the entertainment
community will be honored.
Lawrence O'Donnell, Jr. (MSNBC Senior Political Analyst
and writer/producer for The West Wing) will host a
dialogue with actor Alan Alda and his high school
English teacher, Father Bernard McMahon (Stepinac High
School; White Plains, New York) as well as actor Tom
Arnold and his English teacher, Jane Thompson Garr
(Washington Junior High School, Ottowa,Iowa). The
Creative Coalition Board Member actor Tim Daly will
present the awards. Robin Bronk, Executive Director of The
Creative Coalition, said, "I feel it is important to
give members of the entertainment community an
opportunity to put a spotlight on those individuals who
were a key to their success. We should all take
the time to thank the teachers who have been influential
in our lives. Today we celebrate all of our teachers."
