It’s Getting Better All the Time

STATEMENT FROM THE CREATIVE COALITION

The Creative Coalition Thanks President Obama for Continued Support of the Arts

New York, NY (February 2, 2015) – President Obama’s FY 2016 budget request to Congress was released earlier today and it includes proposed funding of $148 million for the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) – a $2 million increase over the 2015 appropriation.

Actor and The Creative Coalition President Tim Daly commented, “The value of the arts in the economy of the United States and the education of its citizens is an unarguable truth and one that we, as members of the arts and entertainment industries, defend wholeheartedly.”  Robin Bronk, CEO of The Creative Coalition added, “Although we realize that the Obama Administration’s request is just the beginning of the budget process, we are pleased to see the Administration’s continued financial support of this vitally important artistic organization.  The Creative Coalition was galvanized to support the NEA and we need to ensure that the FY 2016 budget makes its way through Congress by calling upon all legislators to approve, and even consider increasing, this appropriation.”

The Creative Coalition (www.TheCreativeCoalition.org) is the premier nonprofit, nonpartisan 501 (c)(3) social and public advocacy organization of the arts and entertainment community.  Founded in 1989 by prominent members of the creative community, The Creative Coalition is dedicated to educating, mobilizing, and activating its members on issues of public importance.  Actor Tim Daly serves as the organization’s President.
