WHAT: WWE and The Creative Coalition will hold two“Be a STAR” anti-bullying rallies this Friday, August 17 at Markham Middle School in Los Angeles and the City of Whittier’s Parnell Park. American Idol Season 10 fan favorite and “Be a STAR” spokesperson James Durbin, Congresswoman Linda Sanchez, Mayor of Los Angeles Antonio Villaraigosa, Mayor of Whittier Owen Newcomer, WWE Executive Vice President of Creative Stephanie McMahon, The Creative Coalition CEO Robin Bronk, Actor Ryan Ochoa, entertainment personality Micah Jesse and WWE Superstars and Divas will serve as keynote speakers who will address a combined total of approximately 1,000 Los Angeles County children about the importance of showing tolerance and respect.
WWE and The Creative Coalition launched the anti-bullying alliance, “Be a STAR”(Show Tolerance And Respect), to provide students with positive tools to prevent bullying in their schools and communities. The mission of “Be a STAR” is to ensure a positive and equitable social environment for everyone regardless of age, race, religion or sexual orientation through education and awareness.
